You say your bloak is patent-pending. What does that mean? TOP
We have filed an application with the U.S. Patent Office claiming the rear access design as intellectual property. A granted patent will give us the exclusive right to make and sell rear-access baby cloaks.

I would like to make and sell bloaks. Can I? TOP
Well, yes and no. At the moment are patent is still being approved. When it is approved we will have the legal right to ask you to stop and enforce our patent with a lawsuit. The patent may be approved at any time, so we humbly urge you to put your skills to other uses.

What if I got rid of the rear-access opening? Could I make bloaks then? TOP
We are patenting the rear-access opening, so you could simply not include a rear-access. Of course, then you are making a poncho.

How do I care for my bloak? TOP
Even anti-pill fleece can pill if not cared for properly. Wash in cold water. Hang dry or tumble dry low. Do not use liquid fabric softener as it will cause even anti-pill fleece to pill and increases the flammability of the bloak. To reduce static, tumble dry on low with a fabric softener sheet for 10 minutes or use dryer balls (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-3322764-3708160?asin=B0009IB6T2&AFID

Are there any special tricks for using a bloak? TOP
We'll be posting videos soon of the most efficient ways we have found to use the bloak. Experiment with what works best for you and your baby though.

One cool trick is the bloak wrap. If you want to wear your child facing you in a baby carrier, the rear-access doesn't do a lot of good. Rather than put the bloak on the baby as you normally would, drape the hood over their head and then pull the sides of the bloak around their shoulders. They'll be snug as a bug!

The bloak's hood is too big for my baby. What do I do? TOP
In our experience, it won't be too big for long! The bloak is made with room to grow so that babies can get use of them up through toddlerhood. In the meantime, try cuffing the hood back. This will usually alleviate the problem. We also strongly recommend, pulling the hood down in the car, so it doesn't fall down when they fall asleep and to avoid overheating.

Is one layer of fleece going to make a difference? TOP
While we always advocate using your best judgment when it comes to extreme weather, we have taken our son out in snow storms, rain, and just plain, cold weather and he stays very warm. We experimented with double layers and lining and found children tended to get too hot . In fact, we quickly learned to remove the bloak during long car rides to avoid over-heating.

Can my children sleep in the bloak? TOP
NO! Well, when they are safely restrained in a carseat, we suggest you check for overheating if traveling for long periods. Infants should not sleep with any blanket or loose material, especially a bloak, when not in safety restraints.

Where do I enter my voucher/gift certificate/discount code? TOP
Admittedly this is confusing.  Vouchers, which are personalized codes sent by Sass and Fras, should be entered on the order page.  Gift certificates and discount codes are entered on the Paypal page.

Why do orders take 10 days to ship? TOP
Don't be fooled by the use of we.  This is a one-woman operation!  Rather than keep a giant stock in my tiny house, I sew on a weekly basis.  I'm happy to work with you on rush orders and I generally have a stock of premade bloaks available for immediate shipping.
